World's Most Powerful People

Who says people can't be powerful? People can.

Being powerful does not necessarily mean having supernatural powers like flying, becoming invisible, being extremely strong.

The world may not have Superman, Batman, Spiderman, or Ironman in real life, but we have Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin, Hu Jintao, Angela Merkel, Bill Gates, Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Saud, Pope Benedict XVI, Ben Bernanke, Mark Zuckerberg, and David Cameron.

Barack Obama, USA President

Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister of Russia
Hu Jintao, President of People's Republic of China
Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany
Bill Gates, Co- Chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

You may be wondering what made them powerful. Were they all good-looking? Are they all good in writing or dissertation services? do they excel in public speaking?

Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Saud, King of Saudi Arabia
Pope Benedict XVI, Pope of Roman Catholic Church
Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, USA
Mark Zuckerberg, Founder of Facebook
David Cameron, Prime Minister of United Kingdom
These ten people were deemed powerful by Forbes (a leading source for reliable business news and financial information)  based on  four factors namely:
  1. Number of people a person has power over
  2. Financial resources
  3. Influence of a person- is it more than one arena or sphere?
  4. How actively a person wield his power
Without a doubt, these people are powerful. The question is, "How long will they remain powerful?"

World's Strangest Statues

"Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it."
- Michaelangelo

The world is a home not just of people and animals, but also of statues.

A statue is a representation, either of a person, a saint, or a significant event in history. In every country, there's always a statue. These statues are important in their history and culture but while most statues commemorate an important event in a nation's history, there are some statues which were created in a unique and different way.

Definitely, the world is also a home of weird, unique, strange, and bizarre statues.

Here are a few of those statues that will surely grab your attention:

Le Pouce, The Giant Thumb Sculpture in Paris, France

Leaning Tower of New Zealand

Corporate Head Sculpture in front of Ernst & Young building (Los Angeles)

Superman statue in Illinois

Bollards in Geelong, Australia

Miguelin: a 6.5 meters tall animated baby

They're strange, aren't they? If you're already bored with your work like dissertation service, perhaps, you can try looking at these photos and take a rest.

Words to Live by From Archbishop Desmond Tutu

He is the moral conscience of South Africa.
Ring a bell?
Yes, he is Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Archbishop Tutu is popularly known as South Africa’s moral conscience and such title is attributed to his awards and honours. In fact, the 1984 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to him for being the “unifying leader figure in the campaign to resolve the problem of apartheid in South Africa.”

His influence is undeniable and he has greatly used it to protect the oppressed people, fight against poverty, and combat racism. Without a doubt, he is a role model and an inspiration to everyone. And to inspire the people more, here are some of his words to live by:
  • Without forgiveness, there's no future.”
  • "Resentment and anger are bad for your blood pressure and your digestion."
  • “You don’t choose your family. They are God’s gift to you, as you are to them.”
  • “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
  • “For goodness sake, this is God's world! We live in a moral universe. The apartheid government was very powerful, but today it no longer exists. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pinochet, Milosevic and Idi Amin were all powerful, but in the end they bit the dust.”

Acting Quotes to Inspire You

Do you want to be in the Hollywood? Is acting your greatest dream? Do you want to be like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie? If yes, then start making your dream a reality.

You have the talent. You have the skill. But it seems that there’s lacking in you. It might be the confidence and drive to act in front of many people. If that’s the case, here are some acting quotes that will inspire you to be an actor or actress in the future.

  • “Stop explaining yourself. Shut up and act!” -Craig MacDonald
  • “Acting is about giving something away, handing yourself over to whatever role you are asked to play. I'm not hiding or escaping or seeking anonymity. I reserve the right not to have a rubber stamp on my forehead saying this is who I am. Because who I am gets in the way of people looking innocently at the parts I play.” -Alan Rickman

  • “Acting is not being emotional, but being able to express emotion.” - Kate Reid

  • “The actor has to develop his body. The actor has to work on his voice. But the most important thing the actor has to work on is his mind.” -Stella Adler

  • “Actors think more with their hearts than with their heads.” - William Esper
  • “The best acting is instinctive. It's not intellectual, it's not mechanical, it's instinctive.” - Craig MacDonald
